Owner's Bio

Born in Oslo Norway, Eric grew up in the rugged Norwegian countryside where he developed a love for the outdoors, and for animals. He had an artistic flare, and took to photography at an early age. He moved to Ontario as a teen, and enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces at eighteen. His experience in an infantry unit shaped his drive, and taught him valuable outdoors skills. He retired from the military, and was married at 25.

Five years later his daughter was born. At this time, he got his AZ license, and started his career as a Truck driver. Long hours away from his family made him restless, he wasn't happy. He took a course on Marketing, and got a job in a marketing agency where he could use his photography and video editing skills. This is where he was introduced to the world of ecommerce. He learned how to run ad campaigns, and track metrics. When he became proficient, he found an ecommerce course, and decided to open his own Ecommerce store. This is where he first learned how to build websites. It took a while, but after a year and a half, he had a profitable ecommerce store, and a team to help him run it.

Spending all his time indoors on a computer frustrated him, he knew he wanted more. He took the weekend off to go camping with his daughter, and that's where the idea formed. He loved helping the outdoor community of entrepreneurs. So he decided to use his skills to Serve Campground owners. To build something valuable, he asked them what kind of services they wanted, and decided that building up the community is the most valuable thing he could do. The only Facebook groups for Campground owners were run by companies only interested in selling something, so he started his own, first-of-a-kind Facebook Group FOR Campground owners in Ontario to share knowledge, resources and some jokes, in the spirit of generosity. To make it even more potent, he took the knowledge shared by them, and turned it into a Free Newsletter, and sprinkled in some marketing advice to make it even more valuable. He was making less money than in ecommerce, but realized that the best life is one in service to others. So when you see him with his daughter smiling while fulfilling his services, you understand why.
